Finding new beauty products is one of my favourite things. If I had all the money in the world I would just go around trying out everything and writing reviews on it all! Sadly I don't have much money at all so instead I'll just share the few gems I have been using and LOVING.

Colourpop Bronzer in "In it to win it" - $6.40 cad

I have said this in a post before, but I have never owned a high end bronzer or contour, however I have wanted to use a better one for a while. Obviously Colourpop is not high end, but it is definitely better than Joe Fresh! I absolutely love this bronzer, it is just so pigmented and such a beautiful warm colour. I use it as both a contour and bronzer in one, and it just warms up your face, giving you a gorgeous bohemian glow (I totally stole that from The Other Woman). I would highly recommend trying out their bronzers if you haven't already though, as they are extremely good for their price! The packaging is also really lovely, and actually reusable, so you can buy another bronzer and put it in your pre-existing compact. It is definitely a sturdy compact, and it is not chunky so very easy to throw in a bag! 

Colourpop Super Shock Highlighter in "Wisp" - $6.40 cad

I have never tried the Colourpop highlighters before either, but I was surprisingly pleased with this one! It is definitely a lot creamier than I expected, and has a gold undertone to it. The formula is extremely soft, and adds a really pretty glow to the skin! I have actually been using this as an eyeshadow base too, and it looks really pretty on the lid on its own, or blended with another shadow.  I would definitely say this particular colour would look better with a tan, so I cannot wait to use this in summertime! The price for this product is extremely good, and overall I would highly recommend trying out their highlighters!

If there is anything I love to experiment with when it comes to makeup, its lipsticks. Don't get me wrong, I won't be wearing blue or black anytime soon, but I love the bright oranges, and dark berry colours. Since Spring is finally on its way, I thought it was only right to go through my all time favourite lip colours for this time of year!

M.A.C Velvetease Lip Pencil in Temper Tantrum - $19. 50

I think this has to be my absolute favourite! It is so different to any other colours I own, and the lipstick itself is amazing. The colour is a gorgeous orange with coral undertones, that just looks amazing with a tan (come on Spring, bring out the sun). The application is so easy and precise, as it comes in a pencil form, that you twist the end of (so no sharpening, hurray!). It is a beautiful matte, that is surprisingly not very drying & moisture sucking for a matte lipstick. I have a few of the MAC Velvetease lip pencils, and they are honestly my favourite lip product ever. HOWEVER. They have discontinued them, which honestly breaks my heart! Sometimes you can find them in outlet malls, or online, but it is impossible to find them in store anymore :(

M.A.C Matte Lipstick in Amplified Vegas Volt -$17. 50

This is possibly my favourite too! This is another gorgeous coral orange colour, and is a little more coral than the above lip pencil, as you can see in the image. The application on this one is just like your average lipstick, so I prefer the precision of the lip pencil above, while I prefer the colour of this one. If I could have the colour of this in the applicator above, I would have the perfect lipstick! I got this one in the M.A.C Look in a box, Sun Siren a few years ago, and it is still my favourite lipstick to this day! I generally wear this more in the Spring and Summer time, because I like to stick to 'season appropriate' lip colours (and it looks better with a tan in my opinion!).

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Istanbul - $6. 50

I have talked about this one in multiple posts before, because it is such a perfect everyday colour, or like this post, Spring colour! It is such a gorgeous light pink, that freshens up your whole face, and makes you look so incredibly healthy. It is another matte, and a bit more drying than the previous two, but I still LOVE it! The only thing I would say is that the tube it comes in is rather small, so it does not last a terribly long time, but for the price it is not bad at all, and definitely worth your money!

Today I thought I would share my top 5 beauty picks for this month! Depending on the month and season I use a lot of different products, and this month I have had a fair few favourites. I love switching up the products I use, and I have so many favourites, but these are the top 5 that made the cut! p.s make sure you are following me on Bloglovin' here!

Tarte Lip Paint in Namaste - I am a huge lover of Tarte, and love what they stand for. Tarte has been a brand favourite of mine since day one, and its still going strong. This lip paint is a gorgeous light nude colour, and I find it perfect for Winter (however it can be quite drying, so my next favourite will help with that!). Despite its drying properties, this lip paint stays on all day, and applies so easily. It goes on like a dream, and does not bleed at all! I have loved this lipstick for years now, and have it in a few colours. Can we just talk about the name of this product for a second? I am a yoga addict, my favourite lipstick, Namaste? Was it actually made for me? Its like a match made in heaven. Tarte comes up with the best names for their cosmetics, and Im a sucker for the names of products!

Clarins Instant Light Comfort Lip Oil - MY HOLY GRAIL. The Clarins comfort lip oil is literally the best thing to exist for your lips. Since the lipstick above can be quite drying, treating your lips to some moisture is a must. If I have really chapped lips, I just put some of this on before bed, and the next morning they are like brand new lips. Soft and plump, this lip product is amazing. It is a little pricier, but the product is worth well more than the price, and it will definitely not let you down! I use this throughout Summer and Winter, but it is my holy grail in Winter time especially!
Clarins Instant Light Comfort Lip Oil - C$25

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder - The Hourglass ambient lighting powder has also made the top five. This powder is the best powder I have come across. It is so gorgeous and silky, with a little bit of sparkle in it. It does not let your makeup budge all day, and adds a youthful glow to your complexion. In the winter time this powder adds more colour and life back into your face with its sparkly tinge. This is the only setting powder I use now, and is the best thing I have come across. Definitely worth the price in my opinion!

M.A.C Blush in Stay Pretty - In the Winter time my face looks a little lifeless and loses all colour. My next favourite will turn your whole makeup game around this Winter. The Mac blusher in the colour stay pretty is my holy grail blusher. I have used many blushers, and even other ones from Mac, but nothing compares to the stay pretty one! It is a more rosy, hot pink, but is extremely natural and brightens up your whole face. In the Winter time the blusher gives a gorgeous natural rosy cheek look, that is just to die for. Every now and again I'll try a new blusher, but I always go back to this one in the end! Nothing beats it!

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette - My last favourite has been a favourite for years, and is an oldie, but a Goldie. The Naked 3 palette is my favourite palette for this time of year. I usually use a lot of palettes all year round, but I always dig this one out for Winter. The Naked 3 has some gorgeous rose and rose gold colours that are just to die for. They are so natural, and add a gorgeous youthful glow to your makeup. My go to colours are (from right to left in the above image) Dust, Burnout, Limit, and Buzz. This palette is definitely worth its money, and is great for all year round, especially Winter. I am a huge Urban Decay lover, but nothing beats their eyeshadow palettes!
