Last month I was nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award, and now I have been nominated for the Liebster Award! I honestly love answering questions, so I am really excited to answer these ones! I was nominated by the lovely Tasha at Ridiculously Ordinary, and you can read her post here. Thank you so much Tasha, it honestly means the world to me!

Here are the details for the Liebster Award:

• Link to this blog post in your Liebster Award post
• Answer the questions given to you
• Create 11 more questions for your nominees to answer
• Comment on  this  blog post with a link DIRECTLY to your Liebster award. (To make it easy for them to read them all).

Onto the questions created by Tasha!

1. What do you love most about blogging?

Honestly there is so much to love about blogging, but the community is like none other. Everyone is so supportive, and you are never alone. The Twitter blogger chats are amazing for meeting new people, and everyone is so lovely! I also love photography, so taking photos to accompany posts is always exciting!

2. What do you hate about blogging?

I don't know that I really hate anything about blogging... If there is anything I hate though, it is when people don't check their posts before publishing them, and they are full of spelling and grammar mistakes. Honestly annoys me so much, haha (especially if there is a spelling mistake in the first sentence)!

3. If you could have dinner with anyone (dead or alive) who would it be?

Ooh this is a tough one... I feel like most people would say someone famous, a cartoon, or out of the ordinary, but having anxiety makes this sort of thing more difficult! Even if anxiety weren't a factor, I would probably say some of my friends or people at dance! Haha!

4. What do you like to do to relax?

Ooh I love to sit in my p.j's with a face mask on, drink in hand, chocolate at the ready, watching Greys Anatomy! Haha! Honestly the best freaking show ever!

5. What was the last book you read?

The last book I finished reading was The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A F*ck and the book I am currently reading is You're A Badass by Jen Sincero! They are both self help books, and highly recommended!

6. Sweet or salty popcorn?

In England I had only ever heard of Sweet popcorn, and that was always my go to (and still is)! But since moving to Canada I have been opened up to the world of salty, sweet & salty, buttered, cheese, caramel etc. the list is endless! I would still have to say sweet though! Caramel is another favourite. I just cannot go for savoury popcorn though, and don't get me started on the thought of cheese popcorn...

7. What is your favourite song?

I constantly have a new favourite song (or 10), but my current favourites are; Let Me Go, Run The World (Girls), Ocean Eyes, and Joy Parade!

8. What has been your biggest success?

I honestly have no idea! I think in smaller successes, like being able to go a week without an anxiety attack, or reaching 4,000 subscribers on youtube. I definitely think moving to Canada and meeting new friends, finding new hobbies, and adventures for sure has to be high up on the list though!

9. What would you like to achieve in the next 5 years?

I feel like 5 years sounds like a long time, but in reality it really isn't! I would like to think I have graduated by then, come further with my blog and youtube channel, stayed in touch with people in Canada (as well as visiting!), and am just overall happy with my life so far!

10. If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go?

I absolutely love travelling, and there are so many places I want to go! I would love to go back to Hawaii and visit a different island, also Venice, The Bahamas, and Nashville.

11. What is your dream job?

I answered this one in the Sunshine Blogger award tag, but I am one of the only people to have never had a dream job! I would love to be able to keep blogging and filming for youtube, or perhaps something to do with photography!

Hustle Hard Girl,

I have wanted to try Colourpop for months now. After having heard amazing things about the brand for a solid year, I figured it was about time I spent a little bit of that paycheque on the brand. After snooping around their website for a week, day in day out, I finally settled on a range of products. I opted for an ultra matte liquid lipstick, an ultra satin liquid lipstick, a supernova liquid eyeshadow, and a mini eyeshadow palette. I was definitely the most excited to try out the lipsticks as those are the products the brand is famous for!

Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick in Bumble

It is a bit difficult to tell what colour some of these products are going to be online, so it is not exactly the colour I was expecting. HOWEVER that being said, I do not own any lipsticks in this colour, which is a plus for me since I own every shade of pink imaginable. The colour on is actually gorgeous! It is so completely different from anything else I own, and I cannot even describe what sort of colour it is. It is like a mauve, pink, brown colour (haha! Excellent explanation there). The precision of this liquid lipstick is actually amazing, it is so easy to apply, and very opaque (which is a must for me! What is the point of a "buildable" lipstick that never bloody builds?).

After having put this one on I was already in love! It stays on all day, does not bleed AT ALL, and is also extremely easy to remove. It is however rather drying, which is not surprising for an ultra matte lipstick. I did also find that it transferred a little, on glasses I drank out of, food, etc. but it was not too bad, and totally manageable!

Ultra Satin Liquid Lipstick in Lyin' King

No Biggie Eyeshadow palette
Colours left to right: 20 something, Feathered, Lay Low, Comeback Kid

This palette contains 4 gorgeous colours; a shimmery champagne pink, a matte blush pink, a matte dark chocolate brown, and a shimmery gold. I have heard a fair bit about their eyeshadows, but the main point being that they are very pigmented. Personally I am a pigmented girl, I love my bold shadows, not too bright, but still noticeable. The colours in this palette looked gorgeous, so I was very excited to try them out. HOWEVER. I am very fussy when it comes to eyeshadows. I like what I like, and if a shadow gives me trouble its a goodbye from me. My all time favourite eyeshadows I could never complain about are the Urban Decay palettes. They are amazing, and the shadows blend perfectly.

At first use of this palette I am going to admit I was disappointed. The shadows were not very pigmented at all, you could barely tell I was wearing any. They also did not blend very easily, and tended to set into creases a little. Overall I was not impressed, which is a shame because I really wanted to like them.

If there is anything I love to experiment with when it comes to makeup, its lipsticks. Don't get me wrong, I won't be wearing blue or black anytime soon, but I love the bright oranges, and dark berry colours. Since Spring is finally on its way, I thought it was only right to go through my all time favourite lip colours for this time of year!

M.A.C Velvetease Lip Pencil in Temper Tantrum - $19. 50

I think this has to be my absolute favourite! It is so different to any other colours I own, and the lipstick itself is amazing. The colour is a gorgeous orange with coral undertones, that just looks amazing with a tan (come on Spring, bring out the sun). The application is so easy and precise, as it comes in a pencil form, that you twist the end of (so no sharpening, hurray!). It is a beautiful matte, that is surprisingly not very drying & moisture sucking for a matte lipstick. I have a few of the MAC Velvetease lip pencils, and they are honestly my favourite lip product ever. HOWEVER. They have discontinued them, which honestly breaks my heart! Sometimes you can find them in outlet malls, or online, but it is impossible to find them in store anymore :(

M.A.C Matte Lipstick in Amplified Vegas Volt -$17. 50

This is possibly my favourite too! This is another gorgeous coral orange colour, and is a little more coral than the above lip pencil, as you can see in the image. The application on this one is just like your average lipstick, so I prefer the precision of the lip pencil above, while I prefer the colour of this one. If I could have the colour of this in the applicator above, I would have the perfect lipstick! I got this one in the M.A.C Look in a box, Sun Siren a few years ago, and it is still my favourite lipstick to this day! I generally wear this more in the Spring and Summer time, because I like to stick to 'season appropriate' lip colours (and it looks better with a tan in my opinion!).

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Istanbul - $6. 50

I have talked about this one in multiple posts before, because it is such a perfect everyday colour, or like this post, Spring colour! It is such a gorgeous light pink, that freshens up your whole face, and makes you look so incredibly healthy. It is another matte, and a bit more drying than the previous two, but I still LOVE it! The only thing I would say is that the tube it comes in is rather small, so it does not last a terribly long time, but for the price it is not bad at all, and definitely worth your money!

What is your favourite lip colour for Spring?
